BBA STAR GAME....MAMPI AND GOLDIE

MAMPI from ZAMBIA was the first celebrity to leave the House...her comments on Goldie Harvey, Nigerian's representative at the upville house goes to further say that our dear Goldie is trying too hard to be NICE (its not a healthy choice to make, everybody cannot like you)...i agree with her on this. I really miss her dance steps (MAMPI).
Goldie has continued her PREZZO activity and it leaves you wondering if as a celebrity, she has no class...it is a game and she had better start playing.
I hope Goldie gets herself back into the game, otherwise, she is on her own! It only goes to show that many of these celebrities are not always the image they paint...and they may not truely have the swag they boast of in thier lyrics...

MAMPI in her own Words:
Who did you most dislike and why?
Goldie. I believe she was very plastic and she was pretending too, too, too much. I think she's trying too hard to be sweet. I don't think she's really a sweet person. When you look in her eyes you can see a lot of anger there. I think she's the biggest pretender in the house.

BETWEEN BARACK OBAMA AND GOODLUCK JONATHAN

While President Obama is Honouring Medal of Freedom recipients, GEJ is giving Nigerians something else to talk about, renaming UNILAG..... Can't we just experience that one Little moment of Inspiration???? it is plain annoying.

Incase you didn't know,The Medal of Freedom is the nation's highest civilian honor. It's presented to individuals who have made meritorious contributions to the national interests of the United States, to world peace or to other significant endeavors.
President Obama is honoring a diverse group of political and cultural icons, including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, astronaut John Glenn and rock legend Bob Dylan, with the Medal of Freedom at the White House.
Obama said the honorees have moved Americans with their words and inspired them with their actions.
Other honorees include Tennessee basketball coach Pat Summitt, former Supreme Court justice John Paul Stevens and author Toni Morrison.

This is NIGERIA....things are different.

KIM K TO GET FIRST TATOO WITH KANYE

Kimye going strong! do you believe this?

News, i am hearing right now saysHollywooLlife.com  has spoken to a source who says that Kim and Kanye want to get permanent ink in order to express how in love they are... What people do for love.
“Kim and Kanye have been talking about getting tattoos,” the source tells HollywoodLife.com. “Kanye wants Kim to get a ‘K’ to symbolize both of their names. But she might even get "KW"

This could be another media/attention stunt.....but we will see how it goes!  They really know how to grab media attention and they are loving it. I hope they have the energy to keep up with all these media stunt....they should enjoy it while it last.

HAFSAT ABIOLA CASTILLO RESPONDS TO UNILAG NAME CHANGE

Mrs Abiola-Costello  in Abeokuta, the hometown of the late MKO ABIOLA, commented on President Jonathan’s announcement.

In an interview with journalists in the Ogun state capital, she urged the federal government to give more priority to reduce the prevailing poverty level in the country, than naming schools and roads.
“What I want to say to President Jonathan is that what we can do to honour the heroes past is to make sure that they do not die in vain.”
According to her, “Nigerian people are still poor, majority of them are poor today, even more so than in 1993 when he (MKO Abiola) won his election and I hope that President can apply himself to addressing poverty in Nigeria.”
“That is the most important thing, more than naming school, naming roads. Those things are nice but the true benefit for my father is that Nigeria people should not be poor anymore” she stated.

I hope GEJ listens to her comments on Poverty!

KATE MIDDLETON RECYCLES HER DRESS.....NO BIG DEAL.

It is a good thing celebrities recycles thier dresses......The rest of us do it and its no big deal. So if Kate Middleton recycles her dress 11 days later, then its not really a big deal. She is a human being, she is not being thrifty, she is just being normal like the rest of us and being normal rocks!

Kate once told a friend: "Times are tough -- I cannot be expected to wear a new outfit for every royal engagement. I am not a fashion model."

I AGREE!

SELE ERADIRI .....REST IN PEACE

Most people will remember her from NTA Newsline  especially with her edgy broadcasting and witty reporting skills.... Ms. Eradiri died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital early this morning (May 29th, 2012). Eradiri had been laying sick at LUTH after her condition deteriorated shortly after returning from a successful surgery in India a few months ago. I still remember the LateTokunbo Ajayi.... NTA looses another gem.
WE will miss her....REST IN PEACE!

UNILAG TO BE NAMED MOSHOOD ABIOLA UNIVERSITY?

NIGERIA!!!! what is wrong with the name UNILAG? how will that further improve the educational standard of UNILAG? The popular UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS known for producing many successful graduates will now be named MKO ABIOLA UNIVERSITY.  The President, Goodluck Jonathan said today in his braodcast.

Is this a way to honour the Late CHIEF MOSHOOD ABIOLA or a way to boost democracy???? i am waiting for how students will react. This will surely not go down welll..... I like the name UNILAG; it carries some elements of SWAG!  I doubt if the students were consulted (This is NIGERIA, who cares how they feel?).

With the challenges Nigeria is facing, i don't know how a change of name will help us in anyway...another Nigeria thing. He should have named UNIJOS after YAKUBU GOWON.... Congrats to AKOKITES.....what do i say?

DEMOCRACY DAY,MAY 29....WHAT ABOUT IT?

Its another may 29th in Nigeria. I trust Nigerians...Tomorrow will be complainning day.....all the TV channels, tabliods and the likes..will have a good day tomorrow..as people will vent thier anger mainly in words (action? No way) and talk like the world will end! Talking is huge around here, when it comes to action.....you rarely see people stand up. Guest will be invited tomorrow to continue the talk......to pass away time, reveall facts just to anger Nigerians more.... They invite the same people running this country down to air thier opinion....They will all want to speech out, just to redeem thier image and GEJ, like its only his fault. It will only annoy you more. The culprits will be in one corner enjoying themselves, they don't care, they know how predictable things are in Nigeria.
If you spend your time talking about Nigeria, you will only waste your saliva, nothing will change. It is just not worth it. I will spend my holiday well, invest in something worthwhile, not on some talk that cannot cook rice!
With this lukewarm, uninspiring leadership.....it is not worth all that talking stress and baseless arguements. It will not put food in your table or pay your bills. After May 29th, the whole thing continues.   Only God knows if there will be Electricity tomorrow! People will waste fuel running generators to hear the same old talk. Is it worth it?

Enjoy your day and do something positive! We want a better Nigeria.....just begin with yourself, where you are!

MOST REV. AKINOLA PRAYERS: ALREADY ANSWERED!

The famous Democracy day Church service sermon by Most Rev. Peter Akinola is just enjoyable...anytime i read it....i find it very interesting. Whether GEJ and his People  (Dame Patience, the Governor of Bayelsa, Seriake Dickson and Kaduna, Patrick Yakowa, Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state, Dameshi Luka, as well as some ministers) said Amen or not, the prayer is already answered!
You just wonder how someone of such humble beginning so easily forget  His background. Truth is, we don't want another president who walked to school barefoot..... This Sermon is just perfect for the Democracy day celebration and an inspiration at this time.

Excepts from the Prayer/Sermon:
“There you go! Oh, corruption! So, you are not ready to fight it, because you are all beneficiaries of it. Whether you steal in a small or big way, stealing is stealing."

“See, it is very clear. You are not interested in fighting corruption. If you do, let us take our case to the court of God, if you dare. Who is deceiving who? You are only deceiving yourselves, not God. And you who is stealing government funds, subjecting the poor to untold hardship; you who steal oil subsidy money, making Nigerians pay for fuel through their noses; you who steal funds meant for improving our power supply, deliberately making Nigerians live a life in utter darkness, will you repent today? I doubt it!"

“This hydra headed monster (of corruption) has literarily taken over the soul and eaten up the fabric of Nigeria,”.
“Officials steal our public funds openly by the pen, while others steal by the power of the gun. Successive governments have declared half-hearted war against corruption to no avail. We know only too well that the fight against corruption is largely selective directed at those opposing the government, with no strong political connection.

“Many of those fighting it (corruption) in police and Judiciary have no clean hands. When any National Assembly Committee or any government agency is inviting anybody for questioning it is because those being investigated have not yet given the agency inviting it their due share of the booty.

“Worse still, those who have cleverly made away with public funds and are living above their legitimate incomes are those who are being honoured by traditional rulers, who make them chiefs and high chiefs. Recently, our universities have joined the queue by inviting those people and giving them some baseless honorary doctorate degrees.Sadly, therefore, corruption will continue in full gear, because Nigerians and the government only pay lip service to its eradication. But, I believed as a Christian, as a preacher, as one who reads the Bible, there a way out."
“Corruption in a narrow sense is another name for stealing. Stealing is a sin God commands us all not to commit. As you know every soul that sins and fails to repent shall die in his sin and end up in hell. So, let us resolve here today to take to the court of God, beginning from this place, all those thieves, who have failed to repent. Will you join me?
“You who steal the money for road construction, leaving our roads in a state of disrepair, causing several accidents and untimely deaths of thousands of our people, their blood is crying to the creator. You who steal the money earmarked for healthcare delivery, thereby running down and turning our hospitals into mortuaries; you who have destroyed our educational system, because the money meant for schools never got to them; you who make laws to inflate costs included in the budget, are you listening to me?

“All of you, whoever you are, greedy, arrogant politicians and officials who are in government only for what you can steal from it and virtually nothing to contribute to national development and has turned Nigeria into a wretch, repent today, and make reparations and God will have mercy on you. Don’t say Amen, only if you repent.

“It is true that ICPC, EFCC, the Police, judiciary may not catch you stealing. But believe me, the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-wise and the almighty God sees you very clearly. But, He is patiently waiting for you to return to the path of sanity and righteousness.”

GEJ responded in his usual manner:
“We are working very hard to reposition our security architecture to cope with the modern challenge of terror. We will overcome,” he said. “Even though some people are predicting the disintegration of Nigeria, let me assure Nigerians that Nigeria will never disintegrate. Our forefathers worked hard to bring us together as a nation. Because of the country’s potentials and resources, no one individual or group can create problems that can disintegrate this country.”

NIGERIA.....while the rest of the world is moving forward, Nigeria is plagued by leaders who see white nad call it black without any remorse.  If GEJ let him not come out tomorrow and address Nigeria for security reasons as one report said.....its not suprising!

WHO CARES IF RAVEN -SYMONE IS GAY?

Do you care...if Raven Symone is gay or not? The lady has her whole life to live, its her business...... ANything can happen these day..you just cannot predict anything.

To this,Raven tweeted: “I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. and I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m dating to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life. However that is my right as a HUMAN BEING whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!”

MODIFIED GAMBLING..... THE ULTIMATE GET RICH QUICK SCHEME

Gambling can come in many forms, it is a habit that anyone can become its addict..... It has been discovered that People, especially around here enjoy get-rich-quick lifestyle! This is why it is so easy to swindle people.... and make it look so easy as just sending a text! People are "harmlessly" milked and they forget that they are alreday making the rich richer.
Many brands associtae themselves with happiness....something that appeals to many people. It is really sad, what people have become..because of the desperation to "arrive" early. It is so much about the money these days. People can do all sorts to get rich, that is why it is easy for brand sto easily milk customers.... Many of these schemes are played by the young, the unemployed...because they have the time and many are yet to experience reality bites... The temptation is really huge! The pressure is there, to make it now or never...

They tell you to send a text that doesn't cost much! It looks cheap and easy. When you begin, you caught and just keep hoping you could win. Instead of people to foicus on Hardwork...face reality, they become overtaken with wishful thinking! I don't mean to paint any barnd black...but the truth is, consumers are being milked....and it is all for profit, not so much for "giving back" as they want us to believe! Make sure, you are not being caught in that cycle...you will go broke playing thier games..and your chances of winning is so slim. It is not always as easy as it seems and you may end up at the loosing end: drained in many ways you will never imagine. The Brands have nothing to loose...for as many times as you try...they profit and they tell you to keep trying!

If you are going to take your chance....you might as well invest it into something rewarding...far more tangible. It is okay to want easy  money, just don't loose your soul.

There are better things in your life to focus...besides, hard and smart work does not kill. We have to re-valuate our lives, to actually know what is important. The crave and the craze for material thing can ruin anybody. Choose value.....refuse to be bought and sold cheap lies. You may think these things will never come or they are taking too long.....but soon you will discover that its a just a feeling! Truth is...it will come and in a good time.

YOUR PURPOSE...FIND IT!

It is really easy to get caught in the life of chasing the wind. You spend a whole day chasing vain things…you think you are busy but before you know it; you are totally drained and completely lost in the endless cycle of the rat race.
I heard it in Church and it is beginning to make sense to me…. The devil burdens humans with 3 things:

- The Lust of the Eyes

- The Lust of the Flesh

- The Pride of Life.

These 3 things are the basis of the conflicts and emptiness we experience in the world today. Most people become pre-occupied with achieving a life for only themselves. It is always about them. You really have to be careful not to become preoccupied with achieving for yourself only…It is not going to always be about you. Suddenly, you loose yourself in this pursuit of material, your life is overtaken with anxiousness…. You become caught in the hurrying that the world is leaving you behind, you think you are so slow, you are making no progress….you never count your blessing because you don’t see the need to.
You must discover the essential things in life, what is really important in the very end. If you can only discover that, your life will automatically adjust. People are in so much hurry and it leaves me wondering, where we are all hurrying to?
To achieve feats in life is good but in all that never loose sight of what really matters. Don’t let the things around you and other people’s definition of what life really means fool you…it is important that you know what you want.
Life is not always about how much material you have…it has its prestige but there is so much more to life. To continually live this principle that you are not so much for the material is a hard feat to achieve; it is a continuous fight. This is the one thing that drives the world…inside it, you have the 3 things that the devil contro9l the world; the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, the pride of life. It is an order that propels people, they do not know when to stop the chase, and they are forever chasing materials. People who have won their battle with material madness will tell you how much relieve they are experiencing. They have gotten over themselves, they live offence-free life and there is so much space in their lives to reach out to others. They are at peace with themselves, happy in their own skin as they live everyday life getting better.
After all has been said and done…..when the die is cast….what will really matter? Ask yourself this one question….am certain, it will help you make better choices!

RANDOM THOTS: DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF!

It's been a while....i have been digging deep into my archives and i thought i share some of the things that has really motivated me.....things that used to happen inside my head...some of them still do. I hope it motivates somebody!!!!!! Happy reading:

I woke up today knowing deep down that my confidence is all time high. The feeling that I am still a whole lot more, that I can be more, very possible is such an amazing feeling!  It is something that some may not understand unless you have reached rock bottom, needing that one breakthrough…and it comes in the least expected way….. It goes to show that money possibly cannot be everything because Money is not everything.

I am thankful to God for where I am right now and I will forever be counting my blessings. I look at how much my life has improved and the unbelievable risk I made myself take…..it has truly been worth it. I am a better person and I will not trade it for anything in the world.
My writing has opened doors for me, new doors of possibilities. Writing has always been a sweet-deep part of my life and it’s the only thing that has stayed with me…. Certificates do fade and fail sometimes, friends come and go, possessions wear out but in all weather of my life, my ability to express myself in writing has remained with me. It gives me a sense of self-believe, hope and courage to be anything I wanted, see possibilities and dream mighty dreams……it gave me the nerve to take my chances in life!
I once heard that “the desk is a dangerous place from which to observe the world”. Looking at that again, it remains true. If your life has a no adventure, you are probably living a routine life…I imagine it could be boring. If your life lacks passion and drive, you are dying a slow death. This is reality, it is some “feel good” philosophy or how it works with the economic condition of your country…. It is a universal truth. You must find something you are passionate about and push your life in that direction. There are no guarantees for a smooth ride but in the end, it is going to be worth it.
The desperation under the sun is just overwhelming. The fast craze is a huge part of every day living. Many people are chasing the wrong things and before they know, they end up half way through their lives very miserable and angry…..totally unsatisfied; wanting more and more…. Never contented…. They keeping looking in the wrong place for something that keeps eluding them, they cannot really figure out what they are looking for under the sun….. There is always that void they are trying to fill up.

When you have reached cross road in your life at some point, you question where you are headed in life. Some people take the break and step back…just to see where they had it wrong and how to move on. When you find that light in your life, you discover the essence of your existence, your priority forever changes. Everything you thought you ever knew to be true fades and your heart opens up to a whole new experience.

Everyday is a new day to live your full life…..a chance to be better…. Don’t limit yourself!

TARABA STATE....IS THE WIND OF VIOLENCE BLOWING IN THAT DIRECTION?

Last week we woke up to the news of bomb blast in Jalingo, Taraba State...  Reports of attacks which took place over night in Dananaca village, Taraba state, a usually peaceful  Village which suffered a bombing at the hands of Islamist militants last week.
“The police are still investigating to ascertain if the people are real soldiers and from which unit,” police spokesman for Taraba state Ibiam Mbaseki told Reuters by telephone.
“If they were genuine military men, they would have contacted us before carrying out such an operation, but we don’t know where they came from.”
Reports say Gunmen in military uniform abducted five people in Taraba state, tied their hands and shot them dead, police said on Saturday.
It is still not clear if the killers were Islamists or a criminal gang....

Taraba State..is the last place you would expect such news..it is really sad!

A PIECE OF THE ROYAL WEDDING CAKE... HOW MUCH IS IT WORTH?

Wouldn't  you want a taste of these cakes???? WOW!

A slice of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding cake is set for auction. The  boxed fruit cake, has been supplied to online auction house PFC Auctions by an anonymous seller. This piece was among 650 pieces of wedding cake given to guests at the afternoon reception of the royal wedding held at Buckingham Palace last April.
The cake was designed by Fiona Cairnes and comes in a presentation tin commissioned and designed by Peter Windett and Sally Mangum, the Daily Mail reported.
It is also accompanied by a printed compliments slip from Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the 16 page Order of Service from Westminster Abbey which includes the vows, hymns, prayers and blessing from the Wedding......

This piece is supposedly the first piece of William and Kate’s wedding cake to appear at any auction with a starting bid of 100 pounds.
Two other slices of royal wedding cake  will also be sold at that the same auction - a piece of the Royal wedding cake from the 1981 marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, and a slice of the original wedding cake from the marriage of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips on 14 November 1973.

AMAZING....
Both pieces of cake are reported to be well preserved, the piece from Prince Charles & Lady Diana is double wrapped in waxed paper, the outer wrapper with pierced tracery, and still in the original printed white presentation box.
The piece from the wedding Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips on 14 November 1973 is in the original sealed and unopened white box.

The slices are accompanied by the printed ceremonial programmes for the wedding, and with the piece of cake from Princess Anne’s wedding the buyer will receive silver printed wedding breakfast cards, the official invitation, two tickets and the order of service.

“They are lovely pieces of Royal memorabilia, and rarely seen on the market as these personal items are only gifted to close friends and family who attend the weddings,” a spokesman from PFC Auctions said.
“The Royal section of our auction is particularly strong and interest in the Royal Family is sky high so we are hopeful they will achieve around 800 pounds to 1,000 pounds each,” the spokesman added.

Just amazing what people do to preseve the slice of history.

BARACK OBAMA'S EX-GIRLFRIEND

I was curious to find out who the lady was....
The woman was Genevieve Cook, who met Obama in 1983 at a Christmas party in Manhattan's East Village. He was barely six months from his graduation from Columbia University. They crossed paths in the kitchen. He was wearing blue jeans, a T-shirt and a dark leather jacket.Obama and Cook lived together briefly but in May 1985 they broke up.

Here are some excepts from her journal...

Thursday, May 23, 1985
Barack leaving my life—at least as far as being lovers goes. In the same way that the relationship was founded on calculated boundaries and carefully, rationally considered developments, it seems to be ending along coolly considered lines. I read back over the past year in my journals, and see and feel several themes in it all ... how from the beginning what I have been most concerned with has been my sense of Barack's withholding the kind of emotional involvement I was seeking. I guess I hoped time would change things and he'd let go and "fall in love" with me. Now, at this point, I'm left wondering if Barack's reserve, etc. is not just the time in his life, but, after all, emotional scarring that will make it difficult for him to get involved even after he's sorted his life through with age and experience. Hard to say, as obviously I was not the person that brought infatuation. (That lithe, bubbly, strong black lady is waiting somewhere!)
Thursday, January 26 How is he so old already, at the age of 22? I have to recognize (despite play of wry and mocking smile on lips) that I find his thereness very threatening. ... Distance, distance, distance, and wariness.

And
Saturday, February 25 The sexual warmth is definitely there—but the rest of it has sharp edges and I'm finding it all unsettling and finding myself wanting to withdraw from it all. I have to admit that I am feeling anger at him for some reason, multi-stranded reasons. His warmth can be deceptive. Tho he speaks sweet words and can be open and trusting, there is also that coolness—and I begin to have an inkling of some things about him that could get to me.

BRANDY AND MONICA....I LIKE!

I love this photo......you have to love these women.
