FROM EGYPT TO CANAAN LAND

God’s description of your Canaan Land……

Deuteronomy 11:10 – 12 (KJV)

“For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:

But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:

A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year”

A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack anything in it”.

Life is always a choice, that has not changed and so, when it comes to moving from your Egypt, where you are a slave to your Canaan Land where you have the best of Living, it is all up to you. Egypt could be Safe but it does not change the fact that you are still a slave.  Until you move, you will not get to the place of your lifting, all you do is toil and break your back, thinking you are living one great life…..but all you are doing is existing. In Egypt, your dreams will never happen, you will always be a mediocre and you will never get the chance to run your own race. It is in running your own race that your life is fulfilled. God wants you to move to move to Canaan Land, Egypt is not his plan for you.

 

Moving from that Egypt to your Canaan Land is a necessary step if you want to live your life to the fullest. It is not an easy journey because there is a Pharaoh you have submitted to who will not let your go, unless you break away forcefully.  As much as we would love to leave Egypt to Canaan Land, we are yet to decide if we will give up our Pharaohs. He makes us safe and he provides for us (so we think), being his slave is better than facing the Red Sea and the Desert.

For most of us, we are so much in Love with our Egypt that we think that is the best way of life; we have no plans of leaving, not now perhaps. We hear of our Canaan Land and there is a feeling that things will be better there but we are not sure we are ready to take that risk. How can we risk the Egypt we already have for a Canaan Land we are not so sure of? It is an unknown path and for fear of failing, we just stay in our Egypt…. We are safe in Egypt, which is enough reason. Better still, let us wait for our Moses to come and deliver us.

You must know now that Moses will never come if you are waiting for a Moses to come and contend with your Pharaoh. You are the Prophet of your life, you are the Moses of your deliverance and you have to make the decision to leave Egypt now.

 Aren’t tired of running around in circles? Don’t you want more out of life? Or you just want to sit around all your life, feeling under achieved, wasted, spent and unhappy? Are you going to be waiting on it all your life? For that big break, for a motivator?  It is your life and you should want better, you should want more because you deserve more. Reject the life of a slave. A life that does not help you be the best you can be, the type of relationships that makes you feel inadequate.

The journey to Canaan Land is not easy I have to tell you. You will face uncertainties, hunger, fear, there will be battles to fight and that you must win. There is the famous Red Sea which you must face to cross over to the other side. It is a fight and you must activate your faith to run your race. Egypt may look promising but the promise land is better. You must desire to leave Egypt and all it has to offer you. You must dethrone the Pharaoh that is ruling your life, keeping you in Egypt for the goodies of the moment and run with your life to that promise land.  Decide to move to your Canaan land regardless of the challenges on the way.  You are the prophet of your life and that makes you your own Moses. Talk a walk now from Egypt, your Canaan Land is waiting for you.

Please people what is the purpose of a $2.5 miilion bra? it is a pretty bra and Miranda Kerr worked it well. It is a masterpiece. She modelled the company’s Fantasy Treasure Bra, a $2.5 million diamond-studded piece that will appear in the Christmas Dreams & Fantasies catalogue. She said she is honoured to have modelled it on her chest and she said something of feeling like a mermaid.....Great and record breaking but what then?                      

Created by Long Island’s London Jewelers the push-up bra was handset with 3,400 precious gems and offers 142 carats of yellow and white diamonds along with pearls, faceted citrines and aquamarines which were all set in 18-karat white and yellow gold.  If you don’t mind taking a second to stare at the bra you’ll also notice two 8 carat white diamonds in the centerpiece alongside two 14-plus-carat yellow diamonds.
Like...you wear it and fly or what exactly? or may be its for breasts made from gold...probably not an underwear, an attire, Nicki Minaj should wear it....She went topless days back...so i guess it will work!

I am trying to understand what this is for? some of these things are purely vain and after sometime, it fades because we will be looking for something more current. Another bra...who is going to wear it? It is funny. Maybe, when i get there, that place...i will understand how and why a $2.5 million bra is neccesary!  Fashion definitely has levels....high fashion, this must be representing but am not sure am all for it....$2.5 million bra? exactly what for? I guess i cannot understand this level of fashion!

CHRIS TUCKER TO BECOME HOMELESS?

      

How bad does it get? I am trying not to believe.....like Chris Tucker to be homeless? oh yes! the RUSH HOURS star with JACKIE CHAN.  He is said to owe more than $4 million to his lender for his florida mansion.....  His Pirate ship mansion has reportedly been put up for sale at $6 million and the IRS  says he owes $1157909.26 in Federal Taxes...what? perhaps, you fix the commas on that figure and your hear will skip! Like how?  Some quaters have advised him not to hold unto something that huge when they paycheck from the job isn't coming as it supposedly should....like when you have disappeared from the hollywood map as E! puts it. This is a hoax maybe! but Money can fly away, it has wings, don't you agree? I like Chris Tucker and am hoping he sorts himself out. Things fade, even Fame. He is in the bad side of the news right now...on the gossip headlines for all the wrong reasons. When you are messed up financially in Hollywood, there is no mercy.
So obviously, if it eventually happens, it says that anybody, whoever; can fall from grace (if that's the case here). Hollywood is about the height of celebrity....but people go in and come out daily,star fade and new ones shine daily. I guess because they are stars, we never get to hear till the whole thing get to the extreme. Perhaps, Hollywood gives and takes it again!

  

Yesterday, i read about one AUSTIN POWER (the Movie) star , Joe Son,being involved in allegedly murdering his cellmate.
He has been prison for past rape charges....and i go....huh?  Even Hollywood? like Rogues are everywhere, being in Hollywood obviously does not change a thing. It is not all as it seems, it is not all perfect and anybody can be messed up. They just have to find a reason to straighten up.
Two actors in major Blockbusters in two different types of mess. Bad image either ways and i have to wonder what goes on in thier minds right now..... C'est la vie!

BEING A CHILD ALL OVER AGAIN

Being a child was not without dreams…

you cannot be a child and not have fantasies, it’s exactly why children are who they are. That was like experiencing Carte blanche. You find inspirations every where. Children just believe any dream was possible. You dream of buying any car, building a house, travelling all over the world and even to the moon, for all you cared about, nothing was impossible. Adults would laugh sometimes because they felt; children did not understand how the world works and life isn’t easy, as I started hearing later on in my life. I guess being a child has many advantages, just as children believe, they easily forgive. Adults are just complicated, I guess; they have a fast way of judging everything and taking sides. Adults are for the most part serious; some do not even have time to joke!

I have always had dreams and all manner perhaps, I believe in wishes (as dumb as it may be) because I know you sometimes get what you wish for and dreams still do come true. As a child, when I saw Doctors, I wanted to be one, when I saw a cute Nurse like my mum; I wanted to be that Nurse. When I saw a lawyer with that gown and wig, I am the first to want to be that lawyer, when I boarded a plane; I just wanted to be a Pilot in that cockpit, when I saw Patti Boulaye on Lux beauty soap commercial, I wanted to be, I wanted to be that model in Venus de Milo advert…… everything was just possible, I could be all of them joined together. For all I know, God loved me and I never doubted that but as an adult, when things get really tight, it is so easy to forget.

As I grew older I started aligning my dreams to what I thought would be okay, what was normal, what the society considered to be success. As time passed, I figured exactly what was really important and I made sure sometimes that I did not get my life complicated like adults. I always wanted that childlike carefree nature and make believe of that little girl to follow me, it is the best feeling in the world because it helps you keep your sanity in a world of deadly competition. When I look back now to what my life has become, one thing has always stuck in my head; I wanted to be happy. That after all that ambition, I still wanted that space to be part of my life, to be normal, happy and having the chance to enjoy life’s everyday little miracles. I never wanted to miss precious moments, I wanted family, genuine friendship, empathy, to run around the house, sharing, walking bare feet on the sand, lying down on the grass and watching the stars, play in the streams, be in the car and watch the trees as though they were moving backwards, playing in the rain…..and all that. As I figured, I could still be an adult, get my life moving but enjoy the little stuffs like a child; after all, the best things in life are free. I discovered that like most adults being busy does not mean you are productive and I seriously did not want my life to be an assembling line, just running over the same thing over and over; I love adventure and I wanted the fire to burn as long as God keeps me alive. I discovered that money with all that comes with it, will not give you everything and living above my means practically kept me in debt.

There was a time I was always a child for a long time and then I suddenly grew up. Growing up to be the adult I never wanted. Busy, complicated and always agitated. That was when I stepped back and said I wanted to be a child again, re-evaluate my life and understand where I missed it. Things you experience growing up helps you to understand what you really want in life and as I discovered, many adults do not want that complications in their lives, people want to be happy, enjoy the simple things!

I just knew that my dreams had to agree with my personal philosophies and that life is one short trip. The fun is in what happens while you are on the road, not when you reach your destination. Every moment is important and you have to make it count. You cannot be lost in the crowd, you have to get a life and live it. Right now, I know I cannot be the Doctor, the Lawyer, the Nurse altogether and whatever I decide to is entirely my choice but I cannot and should never loose my mind chasing whatever I wanted to be. Happiness is a thing that you have to define for yourself, only then can you experience it. Happiness is not what people say it is; it is what you know for sure it is. Whatever I choose to be should not be my master, it should not control my life, it should fit into my life as a whole because it is my life and I am in charge of it.

Now that I know to a large extent what I want in life, my life is much easier, no complications, things are simple and I don’t get agitated over problems.

 I do not loose my sleep and I take responsibility for my choices. I don’t get my life fixed on competing with another person; I have my own race to run to the finish. Getting all worked up like shit does not happen is not a good sign. In the end, you have to believe, you will be alright. Enjoy your life and take a cue from that child in your neighbourhood.

We love Steve jobs for many things.

He was inspiration defined; he knew exactly how to infuse his passion in a particular commodity. He understood what simplicity is and he is an everyday guy….. He will be remembered for many things but mostly for what he was. As a Nigerian, I find it as a force to push me to rise above every limitation, challenges and excuses to pursue excellence. An inspiration, a make believe that anything is possible. Anytime, I read about him, what he said or did, it inspires me to pursue my dreams and live my best life. His words are dosages of Inspiration and I hope after you have read Steve in his own words, it will inspire you too. The quotes are everywhere especially now but I have selected my favourites…. STEVE JOBS IN HIS OWN WORDS

-         That’s been one of my Mantras- focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex; you have to work hard to get your to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end. Because once you get there you can move mountains.

-         We don’t get a chance to do that many things and everyone should really be excellent. Because this is our life. Life is brief and then you die. You know? And we’ve all chosen to do this with our lives. So it better be damn good. It better be worth it.

-         Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes. They’re  not fond of rules…. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things…they push the human race forward and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius because the ones who think they can change the world are the ones who do. Think Different.

-         Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma- which is living with the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown out your inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly to become. Everything else is secondary.

-         I’m convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneur from non-successful ones is pure perseverance.

-         I don’t see it then but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.

-         It’s not about pop culture and it’s not about fooling people and it’s not about convincing people that they want something they don’t. And I think we’re pretty good at having the right discipline to think through whether a lot of other people are going to want it, too. That’s what we get paid to do.

-         So we went to Atari and Said ‘Hey we’ve got this amazing thing even built with some of your parts, and what do you think about funding us? Or we’ll give it to you. We just want to do it. Pay our salary; we’ll come work for you. And they said ‘NO’. So then we went to Hewlett Packard and they said, ‘hey we don’t need you. You haven’t got through college yet’.

-         Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles.

I love Steve Jobs and he will always be an inspiration. What this says about life is simple….Life can be likened to a short trip. Maximise your experience while you are travelling, there is nothing you can do again when you reach the end of that trip. He was a great man and he’ll remain part of our lives for a very long time. What’s going to be my own legacy? I ask myself. I certainly will not be Steve Jobs but I have the responsibility to brighten my own little corner.

SARAH PALIN.....Smart Choice

Sarah Palin who has been battling monkeys off her back made a smart choice when she backed-out of the Presidential Race. I get the feeling that she would have faced even greater obstacles later on and she will continually become unpopular. Backing out was honourable and safe, she can step back review and maybe come back stronger. After all those allegations of being a rogue and divorce rumours, this appears to be the best option.

I guess being in the background is better because the party seem to be over....But being who she is is...we'll be hearing from her for a long time. She is a true politician.... and i admire her! Am waiting to read that famous book....not to verify if she is a rogue or not but to actually read everyword. I like American Politics...Your Intergrity is so important..you cannot mess with it. I hope African Leaders take that lesson from them!

ASHTON AND DEMI MOORE...another Hollywood split?

It's not always news......we are kind of used to it (or may be not). Hollywood hotties getting off and on relationships....we even speculate the break up.Kim K's weddingh is under the radar....as much as you hope things do not go wrong, they happen. There uesd to be Brad and Jennifer, Mac Anthony and J.Lo. Di Cap and Blake Lively.....the list is endless..now am smelling Demi and Ashton. It is such a hot news. When your marrieage begins trending negatively in Hollywood, it gets pressurized and the cracks becomes visible, sooner or later. Perhaps, it is pure allegation or some truth in the rumour? There have been all manner of allegations but we hera nothing but silence. Some one joked the other day that it was definitly going to happen because sooner or later Ashton will be missing some young people's stuff. I am wondering what that is exactly. Ashton, i hear cheated and there are video proof! The age difference has been a basis for what is happening, people say but how true is all this?

I just hope it does not happen...they are just cute and make the uncommon so lovely....but then it's thier life after all...they know best! Thats how they have coped, even though they are said to be in seperate houses now but lets wait till they speak...

Amanda Knox is almost home but the beauty is what i will like to call a million dollar baby. Her experience in the last four years comes with amazing price tags. While people in seatle await her, she has seemingly become a star of sort. With rumoured book deals and US TV Networks in  bidding battles running to millions of dollars, just for a chance to be the first to get that interview, i am wondering if Amanda Knox cares about the hype, she has been through a lot and she needs to get her life back. There are talks that Diane Sawyerr Could get that first interview considering her past records, it is yet certain who will but seriously, this girl is seriously becoming a star and there are millions of people who will want to the story in her own words. I can't wait to see who gets this interview first on....it could be a CNN affair in the end. We'll see. She had better enjoy her freedom while it lasts.

BISHOP DESMOND TUTU says it is UNBELIVEABLE!

Bishop Desmond Tutu has not minced words to say exactly how he feels hearing that The Dalai Lama has cancelled his trip to the rainbow nation to join him in celebrating his 80th birthday. In a press conference, he openly criticised the present South African Government saying it was worse than the then Aparthied Goverment. His anger and displeasure was obvious from his comments and body language and he even made some jokes about how getting visa was then and now.

The Dalai Lama whose visa application was not approved in 2009 cancelled his trip after the Visa was den ied once again. The Bishop expressed disappointment and said Foriegners should not dictate for South Africa who shuold come to the country, they should speak for themselves only. He also said of the officer in cahrge as being Economical with the truth or she simply didn't know her job.   In His own words "It is unbelieveable and discourtoeus".This is not a good image concept for South Africa and it is obviously not good for the country considering  how vague the reason for not approving the visa, how much the Bishop criticised the Government and being that it involved The Dalai Lama.  We will have to wait to see what follows.

DR CONRAD MURRAY....victim or what exactly?

We love Micheal Jackson. He was a Hero and an idol to many.  He was a great musician and a wonderful person, we still miss him a whole lot.When he was alive we did not care about his Doctor but today, the man is on trial. Conrad Murray is a money spinning headline right now all over the world. When Micheal was alive, he made headlines for all the reasons you can imagined, he fought his battles, now he is dead, he is still the news....isn't the king of pop supposed to be resting right now? All manner of things are coming out from witnesses. In all of this i feel for the doctor, his reputation is at stake and all he has worked for in his life. Will he want to get his hands dirty in the first place with all the allegations hovering over his head? Wether he is guilty in the end or not, it changes really nothing because it will not bring Micheal back to us. The doctor has maintained his innocence and things look moduled up. Besides, if Micheal  were here is this what he would have wanted? having his doctor on the hot seat? Am not sure if people are so interested in the verdict because as much as it makes news, it could be a conspiracy....

We just have to wait to see where this is headed or this is meant to achieve....seriously, you never know what will happen.The doctor is not having a great time at all.

AMANDA KNOX: what about RUDY GUEDE?

Amanda Knox must be way too happy for words now. Freedom is priceless and it helps when you have a great family to support you, it is a miracle she got aquitted. She has been through stuffs that am sure, her story will make a great book, we want to personally hear her story.

In the midst of all this, i want to ask...what happens to the Ivorian Drifter, Rudy Guede? He is obviously on his own and since the police has been on his case previously on other charges, he'll just have to figure things out himself. Amanda Knox is free and seriously, watching her on TV breakdown in tears is hurting. The victim's Family still grieving thier loss and in this case, there is no winner. Both families have thier losses. It is a case we will not forget in so much a hurry!

PASTOR YOUSEF NADARKHANI....forgotten?

I am wondering whats up with that young pastor...the whole thing begining to get cold!  He was sentenced to death for Apostacy and now there is the Zionist and threat to national security. That will be capital treason. I pray for for his freedom and i believe many people around the world are doing the same thing! He is so young and there so much life ahead of him.

AM GAY! What does the Bible really say?

The rest of the world could be stuck in what they actually feel about this controversial topic, people can justify however they feel about it and some could be hypocritical to stay safe, so we just never say nothing but I have to wonder what the Bible actually said….everything: the past, the present and the future lives inside the Holy Book. The controversy trailing being gay leaves me wondering what the Bible says, just like the Da Vinci Code; you have to check what your stance on this is. Nobody should be sitting on the fence! I dare to judge anyone, in fact, am a growing Christian, keeping on with my faith regardless of my failures but it is my opinion and I am entitled to it, however wrong it appears to others. I guess it is true, everyone has prejudice, you have to live with it, you cannot agree with everything!

Does your Pastor ever say a word about it? Perhaps, it is not within his calling jurisdiction. You should not wait on him, find the basis and define what you should believe. It’s going to be you and God in the end, so you might as well now start figuring how you feel about this whole thing. Not like they world should care how you feel and it is not for judgement but it is important never to sit on the fence. 

 Have you read Romans 1? I bet you have on your own or in the church. The day I saw what the Bible verse said about it, it changed everything for me and it reinforced my believe that you cannot sit on the fence especially when it is critical to Eternity. Romans 1:18, 21 – 32 says it all. While some would call it Immorality at the highest form, the Bible clearly speaks about it.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. Who hold truth in unrighteousness.

21; Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful: but vain in their imaginations and their foolish hearts was darkened.

24; Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves.

26; For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature.

27; And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another: men with men working which is unseemingly and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

26 and 27 (NEW CENTURY VERSION); Because people did those things, God left them and let them do shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex and started having sex with other women. In the same way, men stopped having natural sex and began wanting each other.

28; And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient.

Even with this a lot of people may not agree and loads of people will never speak of this. No matter how much they feel awkward about it, they have their precious reputation to guide. The Bible is clearly against it, which means a true follower of Jesus will have to take this stand because the BIBLE is true no matter how we feel about it. I find people who drag their feet about it in their closet, stand openly to say otherwise. They prefer to sit on the fence and I guess it is what they want for their lives. Great! I can only speak for myself, my opinions and what I understand from this part of my Bible. I have looked at it times over, read countless versions but the message is the same.  Before, we conclude and say otherwise, it is clear. It is not my word and The Bible also has bad feelings about other things. In the 29^th verse of Romans 1, The Bible calls people in this category as people with a Reprobate Mind… “Fornication, Wickedness, Covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, backbiters, haters of God, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents” the list goes on.

So I want to ask people, especially, Christians, do you think being gay and practicising, is sin? I believe, just like fornication that many of us are guilty of even though we have been forgiven, the whole thing goes together.

As I am quick to claim the promises of the Bible, I have to agree with this, whether I like it or not. Some people find it disappointing to see people who are supposed to say it out loud, go out there and say otherwise because they are afraid. Some hate same sex hitting on them and people joke about it. It is understandable and why shouldn’t anyone be scared? You never know where you will get mobbed by people who will take this rather personally. Like I earlier said, as much as I take my stand with The Bible said, I do not Judge, never will. I am not perfect and in this world, people have the right to be whoever they want to. Hang out with and love those they really want to. The Bible is certainly right for me but many people may not understand it my way.

The world has loads of issues and this should not be important now. Besides, it does not concern me how other people run their sexuality, if you will. But I think about this and in writing it, I find more clarity. People do not have to totally agree with me but I am sticking with what God says through His word. If this is what God says, I have to accept it, God CANNOT lie and no matter how we feel about it, it does not make it right. Like Fornication, Sins of the flesh, Immorality to be specific has taken a new toll on our generation; it has plagued everywhere and everything because SEX SELLS. It is the basis of what is acceptable; a little skin will not hurt as we are made to believe.  God does not condemn you, no man has the right to and so if you feel that way, you can be delivered. I had that urge early in my teens, liking girls and the touch that comes with it but I have gotten over that. Like every other things, you can get over it, if you want to. In the end, it is about choice, not other people’s judgement or the world’s standard. You may be at crossroads as a Christian as to what is right, Read Romans 1 and get your understanding. You should not wait on your pastor to counter it or say otherwise, you have to take a stand for what you believe in especially now under the sun. The way you make effort to rise above mediocrity and you take a stand, which is exactly how you should stand. The sad thing is, good works and whatever makes you good, harmless according to the world’s dictionary has no eternal benefit. Where you stand in your faith on everyday issues has greater effect on you.  No sitting on the fence, sooner or Later, you will be forced to take your stand.
