RANDOM THOUGHTS: THE NIGERIAN EMOTION

The Nigerian situation has set many people’s lives in the motion of unfufilment, unsatisfaction, greed, impatience, selfishness…no time for delayed gratification. The society is plagued by people who want it now or never, it has to be about them…no one else, after them, then others can have the remnant, if any remains.
Bitterness and unforgiveness are huge part of everyday living. The plague of selfishness does not let people care about others. They step on just about anyone to get through; they don’t care who gets hurt; this results in a broken society of hardened human beings that continues this cycle. This type of mindset is very destructive; the type that does not allow people to progress, no matter how hard they work, they are still stuck in that cycle of the rat race. People channel their energy towards all the wrong things and it affects every area of their daily lives.
A corrupted mindset is very unhealthy…. Such people have to space in their lives to enjoy the ordinary things of life. Their lives are surrounded by oppression, unhealthy competition, a life of zero value, excessive obsession with material things…. They cannot even make progressive choices because their lives are plagued by the same emotions.
The issue with Nigeria is mindset….it is reflected in our leadership, human relationships…… People are lost, they cannot even figure out what they want.  Until you rid yourself of these negative emotions….you cannot move forward. If you can’t figure out a way to genuinely move your own life forward, how do you lead others? It is the reason, people criticise the Government and still do the same thing when they get into power…because their mindset is not that different from the man there. The way you relate with others will show exactly the type of person you are. The way a superior relates with the subordinates will tell if he is different from those in the corridors of power.

Change your mindset, change your life! You cannot be thinking the same way as the people you are criticising, you are just the same as they are if you don’t think differently.
