FUEL SUBSIDY DRAMA: REPS REMOVE LAWAN, EMENALO

I saw this coming....we are so predictable in Nigeria.
News spreading fast says The House of Representatives has removed Farouk Lawan, representing the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP), Kano, as the Chairman of the House Ad-hoc Committee on fuel subsidy over the alleged $620,000 bribe.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Secretary of the Ad-hoc Committee, Boniface Emenalo, was also removed.
The scandal has continued to gain momentum. WE all have heard how Femi Otedola, Chairman of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd. alleged that Lawan and Emenalo collected $620,000 as bribe from him....

The story goes further.....
The Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, and three other Police Commissioners including the head of the IG’s Special Task Force, CP Ali Ahmaduon, on Thursday interrogated lawmaker Farouk Lawan over his role in the $620,000 bribe allegedly collected from Femi Otedola.
Lawan arrived at the Force Headquarters, Abuja at about 4p.m. and was immediately ushered into the IG’s office.
The task force team leader continued with the interrogation for an hour, after which he went to the seventh floor of the Louis Edet House to brief the IG and get further directives.
The police had threatened to declare Lawan wanted after he failed to honour an invitation to appear before it on Monday.
Otedola appeared on Tuesday and provided a videotape of Lawan allegedly collecting the money as well as other documents.

Aren't there worse corruption scandals???? The subsidy report is already suffering...this is not about  Farouk and Emenalo.....it's all distraction. It is a lesson that everybody has a price, just refuse to be bought! A lot of people cannot resist the temptation cash brings! If you are going to be a light in the darkness..be that light, be wise enough to know when you are walking on enemy territory...

KIMORA LEE AND KOLA BOOF

After all the tweets, claims and counter claims, it can only get worse.
Seriously.....how did things get really messy between these women???? T hey are totally on different leagues and they should each stay in thier respective territory! Some things don't just mix.
The thing about marriages and i am sure Kimora knows is that if you give in to divorce the first time, chances are, you'll do it the second time because the same reason you walked off the first marriage will be linked to the second reason you'll want to walk away the second, third, fourth time.... am not sure a lot of people believed that Djimon and Kimora would last...you know! after Seal and Heidi Klum seperated, you just know, these things don't work that way. Djimon is a full fleged african man and Miss Fabulosity (Kimora) just will not be able to keep the man....

WISDOM IS CHOOSING YOUR BATTLES!

LADY GAGA AND HER STRANGE FRAGRANCE

That Lady Gaga is a brand is no longer news. She seems to know what she wants with this strange styles, eventhough some of us still don't understand her style...and she always has something up her sleeve to live up to her brand. So are you wondering what her fragrance looks like or smells like? I already guessed it will be different and weird! The Logo on the body of the pack and the cover looks like inverted horns...just weird!
When we heard that Lady Gaga wanted her fragrance to stand out  and smell like 'Blood and Semen' i was not suprised.
The bottle itself  which she twitted the picture(after various fashion editors already leaked the photos),looks dark like Gaga herself! Lady Gaga says Fame smells like "tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and, the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops."

"It was taken out of my own blood sample, so it's a sense of having me on your skin," she told Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O. "I wanted to extract sort of the feeling and sense of blood and semen from molecular structures, so that's where [the rumors] came from. That is in the perfume, but it doesn't smell like that. Actually, the perfume smells like an expensive hooker."

Why would any body want to smell like an expensive hooker? I never want to smell that way, how about you?

GEN.ABDULSALAMI ABUBAKAR (rtd) ON BOKO HARAM

Nigerian former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), has described members of the Boko Haram sect as misguided elements, saying the insurgence of the group is not insurmountable.
He spoke with journalists after a special prayer session held to mark his 70th birthday in Minna on Wednesday, the former military leader argued that poverty was not the cause of the various socio-political crises rocking the country.

 In his own words:
“As Nigerians, we need to keep trying to find solution to the problems facing the country.
“The whole world is full of problems and challenges. It is happening all over the world and not only Nigeria. I know that here we will all say we have Boko Haram, we have kidnappers and what have you, yes we do have them but we should not fold our hands and throw our hands into the air and let things go.
“We should keep trying and praying that those misguided elements will give peace a chance. Nigeria is not the only country ridden with poverty and economic problems; I believe that it is not a tool for what is happening in the country”

Sir, you have spoken and we have heard, just hope our dear President is also listening...Thank you!

FAROUK LAWAN, OTEDOLA AND OIL SUBSIDY REPORT

After all the corruption scandal between Farouk Lawan and Femi Otedola.....i am wondering what will happen to that Oil subsidy report; i fear it may never see the light of the day. It is not important how both parties will defend themselves, it possibly does not help the average Nigerian in anyway and does not put food on anybody's table. It is purely a distraction to keep our eyes of that report and since many"BIG" heads are going to rolls, people are just out to save what is left of thier supposed image.....and you can bet some will walk off free because this is NIgeria, having money means having power. The messy details unfolds daily and it only gets you annoyed. The Story just keeps unfolding!

Honourable Farouk Lawan’s reputation as one of the most credible members of the House has obviously suffered a big setback as this may affect his 2015 Governorship ambition which had bright prospects.

Ordinary Nigerians are the loosers here, people who fought against the removal of fuel subsidy with sweat and blood.
Otedola stated that Honourable Lawan collected $500,000 in cash while the secretary of the ad hoc committee that carried out the probe, Boniface Emenalo, collected $120,000 in two installments of $20,000 and $100,000 respectively.
Otedola has also said that the money that was given to Lawan was got from the State Security Service (SSS).
Honourable Lawan who had earlier denied taking the bribe in a statement had to swallow his words and accept that he actually collected money from the Otedola. Lawan  who said he accepted the money to expose Otedola and  claimed that he informed the police and members of the House of Reps about the issue.
Lawan also alleged that the Secretary of the Committee, Boniface Emenalo told him that Otedola offered him $ 100,000 whereas Otedola alleged that Emenalo collected $ 120,000 from him. (what of the $20,000?)
Faroukstill remains the subject at the centre of the bribery saga. A fresh N 11 billion bribery allegation has also come up.

The Fresh N 11 Billion Allegation!
While the $ 620,000 allegation is still generating hues and cries, police authorities are already looking into another allegation of N 11 billion.  Some Oil marketing companies were alleged to have paid some members of the ad hoc committee. The police are keeping sealed lips on the matter, reports say that some marketers had “settled” to tune the reports in thier favour.

Innocent lives perish everyday and it leaves you wondering what is becoming of NIGERIA. For those who try to preach postive message like it will make it alright...the hard truth is that it does not really work here.... the damage has eaten so deep into the fabric of the society. When you look at the street and the lifestyle, work ethics around here, you know...we need nothing short of a MIRACLE......To survive here is a lot of work....plenty work!
