It's been a long time coming but its now official.....Socialist Candidate Hollande Francois sweeps change across France! Polling Results show that Mr Hollande won by 51.9% and Sarkozy scored 48.1% at the polls.
Mr Sarkozy has taken his defeat in good faith, saying: "Francois Hollande is the president of France and he must be respected."Analysts have said the vote is likey to have a wide implications for the whole eurozone. Mr Hollande, a favourite for most voters vowed to work out a deal on government debt in member countries.
Exuberant Hollande supporters have already converged on Place de la Bastille in Paris - a traditional rallying point of the Left - to celebrate.
Change is good..and am happy for the French.....Something to celebrate!
