GRACE MUGABE.....SAY WHAT?

Africa is obviously is a different part of the world. Sometimes you just wonder!
Grace Mugabe is the wife of Robert Mugabe.  she spoke Saturday at the Today’s Women Conference at Glamis Stadium in Harare, the Zimbabwean capita. The conference was organised by Prophetess Eunor Guti of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God. Madam Mugabe recently had these to say about citizens of Zimbabwe going for prayers/ divine intervention elsewhere but the point remains that it is just irony. Does she live in Zimbabwe and if she lives there, i hope she hears the news to know what Zimbabwe looks like to the outside world.

Her words:
“I really don’t understand why scores of people are putting their faith on foreign preachers. They are having to raise a lot of money to visit them when in Zimbabwe we are blessed with anointed people of God who are able to do even greater things.”

“It doesn’t matter which denomination you belong to, we are all seeking one God. Believe in our prophets and stop wasting money visiting faraway countries. In Zimbabwe we have people who, through prayer, can heal you from your sickness and restore your broken marriage.
“People have this misconception that Zimbabweans do not know how to pray. Little do they know that we have a lot of anointed people who are able to help us because they know the environment that we are operating under. A closer look at the countries which are being thronged by our people reveals that they are torn by war and hunger,” she said.

“I might be Grace Mugabe of Zimbabwe, but I cannot do it all on my own,” she said to wild applause.
“I go to Amai Guti seeking guidance and she prays for me. The prayers enable me to keep my family and life together. I see God’s power in her and I have come to realise that God gives you people in your life to do certain tasks that you cannot do on your own because they are anointed in that area.
“There is no point in trying to compete or badmouth the anointed because theirs is a gift from God.
“To know what to do require wisdom that comes from God,” she said.

African wonder indeed.

JUSTIN AND SELENA: GOODBYE

Finally.......let's stop the pretense! Did you really give them any chance? Besides, they are still very young to understand the complexity of relationships! I feel more for Justin because he is younger and Selena is older, smarter!

It will NOT be fair to say she used Justin to rise up the fame ladder, then dumped him when he realized, she needed real men. Poor Selena, the pain of having to date the teenage sweetheart; really so much work and serious nerve to hold swallow the jealousy..... Only both of them really know why they said bye-bye and believe me, they are so over it already even before they split. They are growing up, soon they will realize it is one of those things and learn what it takes to keep a relationship healthy, happy and alive! it is not always as easy and romantic as the tabloids put it.

Pastor Oritsejafor PRIVATE JET: WHAT ABOUT IT?

I am really wondering what is the big deal if the congregation of a church decides to buy their pastor a jet? The truth remains that it is their business. If they cannot and refuse to see things the way people are coming all down on them, it is best they be left alone. As much as i am not really in support of pastors being wretched (It does not reflect the true image of God) i think it is best we leave them to their lifestyles. The contrast in standard of living in this country can leave us with some unanswered questions but that how it is especially when all we can do is talk about it..... even if you probe further, there is very little can do. That is the bitter truth! As long as the giver and the receiver don't see anything wrong with it, there's nothing anyone can do.

In case you missed the story, read it below:

The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has now joined the elite league of Nigerian clergies, who own a private jet.
This was affirmed on Saturday as members of The Word of Life Bible Church, in Ajamimogha, Warri, Delta state, presented the Pastor with a private jet as his birthday gift.
The leader of Christian community in Nigeria, who is fondly called Papa Ayo, was celebrating his birthday and his 40th anniversary on the pulpit, when he was presented the gift.
Present amongst the congregation to felicitate with the Pastor was President Goodluck Jonathan.
The ceremony kicked off immediately with the entrance of the President with the singing of the national anthem.
The president in a short remark, asked Nigerians to continue to build bridges across tribes and states to allow for a more unified country. He noted that it is better to have a more united Nigeria that will present a formidable force in both the sub-region and the global community.
President Jonathan also gave a brief address on the celebrant and wished him many more years ahead.
Responding to all the good wishes, Pastor Oritsejafor thanked the President, the Delta state governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, the Speaker, Delta state House of Assembly, Engr. Victor Ochie and all other dignitaries at the occasion.
The high point of the ceremony was the presentation of a private jet as birthday gift by members of the church.
A brief sermon was given by an international preacher, Dr Mike Murdock on seven laws of success.
He urged all Nigerians to build their faith and work with God.

BERLUSCONI JAIL TERM; the wind of change

One man cannot be greater than a whole nation and power sure has limit.....nothing is forever.
Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi's jail sentence for tax fraud  heralds the end of an era dominated by one man .
One anti-Berlusconi paper (LA Stampa) called a "natural-born delinquent". It further reads"The mirages and alibis are finished. An entire generation of Italians born after 1975 will for the first time vote in elections next spring that are not a pro- or anti-Berlusconi referendum."
Berlusconi, 76, had already announced last week he would not stand in next year's elections. Even though sentencing Friday to four years in jail  was quickly reduced to one under an amnesty law designed to reduce overcrowding in prisons, this has put an emphatic end of his domination of the Italian political scene.
"And so ends a Titanic affair, born in television and finished in court, with a clear, very tough and above all insulting punishment," wrote the editor of the centre-left daily La Repubblica, Ezio Mauro, saying the case highlighted Berlusconi's fall from grace.
Il Fatto Quotidiano, which had waged war on Berlusconi's government during his three stints as prime minister between 1994 and 2011, said the media tycoon had a "natural capacity for delinquency".
The verdict "is the proof that Italy was governed for nine years by a tax cheat," said the paper.
During the trial, Berlusconi was accused of artificially inflating the price of distribution rights bought by his Mediaset empire and creating foreign slush funds to avoid paying taxes in Italy.
Scandal-hit Berlusconi condemned his sentence as "intolerable judicial harassment".
Berlusconi's lawyers have said they will appeal by November 10.
Italy's lengthy appeals process will likely ensure he never sees the inside of a jail cell but that does not change the fact that the wind of change is already blowing through Italy and seriously hoping such change blows all over Africa soonest.

NIGERIA: are we this divided?

This may not be a rumour afterall..... it is some serious information that show religion has divided one country.
Christians going to Jos from Abuja now have to pass through RIYOM, while muslims heading the same route pass through ZARIA road.
Christians going to Kaduna from Abuja are advised to a taxi from Mabushi and Muslims going to Kaduna pick taxis  from ZUBA.
Strange.....whatever happened to One NIGERIA?

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO LANCE ARMSTRONG

I really want to see this.....after all the back and forth drama... Lance shuold be heard!

Reported by Quentin McDermott and originally produced by Four Corners for the Australian Broadcast Corporation, this riveting documentary details the case against cyclist Lance Armstrong, who has been accused of employing illegal doping to enhance his athletic performances.   McDermott reviews the origins of the suspicions of Armstrong’s usage of steroids, hormones, blood transfusions, and other performance enhancements, dating back to the 1990s.  Testimony of former close friends Betsy and Frankie Andreu reveals allegations that Armstrong directly confirmed his usage of performance-enhancing drugs to his oncology team during cancer treatment.   Featured in the documentary is footage from Armstrong’s only ever deposition, given in 2005, in response to a lawsuit by an insurer resisting awarding Armstrong a bonus for one of his Tour de France wins.
In the videotaped deposition, Armstrong is at points evasive, impatient, and earnest as he declares his innocence of doping, even in the face of specific details given by members of his inner circle.  Also, McDermott interviews former Armstrong teammate Tyler Hamilton, who describes, in vivid detail, his own introduction to performance-enhancing drugs, and using those drugs with Armstrong – at points even administering drugs provided by now-disgraced team doctors, only steps away from racing venues in nearby trailers and even in team hotel rooms.  McDermott credibly deconstructs Armstrong’s defenses, speaking with a French scientist at a lab that has evaluated Armstrong’s Tour de France tests.  Newer, more sensitive testing now detects illegal enhancements in Armstrong’s early Tour de France urine samples.  McDermott also replays audio of what cycling legend Greg Lemond says is a secretly taped phone call between him and a marketing executive that suggests even some sponsors may have felt pressured to cover up for Armstrong’s doping to protect their own corporate images.
Stripped of his seven Tour de France medals and his leadership position at his Livestrong foundation, it’s Armstrong’s own 2005 words that now seem most prophetic: “It's not about money for me. It's about the faith of all the cancer survivors around the world.”
The World According to Lance Armstrong debuts on CNN/U.S. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 9:00pm, 12:00am ET & PT.
