BIG BEN...THE NEXT TIME YOU'RE IN LONDON.....

The famous Big Ben's to be renamed "The Elizabeth Tower," in honor of The Queen, is supported by many MPs and David Cameron, based on a proposal this week. Many believe the Diamond Jubilee is the perfect time to honor Her Majesty.
Considering her six decades of service (The queen deserves it), the House of Commons is likely to easily pass the measure when it meets soon.
Prime Minister David Cameron is among 331 lawmakers who have signed up to a campaign to bestow the tribute to Queen Elizabeth to mark her 60th year on the throne, the Daily Mail reported.
It mirrors an honour bestowed on queen Victoria — the first British monarch to celebrate a diamond jubilee, back in 1897 — after whom the square tower at the other end of the Houses of Parliament was renamed.
“It is great news that so many MPs from across the House are backing what would be a fitting tribute to the queen. I hope it will now move ahead,” the Mail quoted Cameron as saying.
The 96-metre (316-foot) tower is also known as the clock tower but is commonly known as Big Ben after the huge bell that it holds, whose distinctive “bongs” sound out the hours in central London. The next time you are in London, don't look for the Big Ben, look for Elizabeth's Tower.

NIGERIA: PLANE CRASH AND BOMB BLAST IN ONE DAY

While our Givernment is focused on renaming the University of Lagos, safety is no longer guaranteed. No security no safety. it never ceases to amaze me and Nigerian TV stations are not even showing any news at the scene. I bet some people must have heard it first on CNN.  You just wonder why we so take things for granted in this country, its rare to find the news while its hot on any station.... annmoying lukewarmness of reporting in Nigeria.Very soon, Government officials will come on air and speak grammer, do nothing..as usual.
Two sad things happened today and it  justa sign of the decay in this country. It is a sad weekend.

 PLANE CRASH
A passenger plane belonging to Dana Airlines crashed  today at the Iju/Ishaga area of Lagos. The plane was carrying 153 passengers. The Flight from Abuja trying to land. Eye witnesses say the plane crashed into houses and human corpses are burning at the scene of the crash. NCAA has just confirmed that there were no survivors. There are also reports that the particular plane that crashed today had landing gear problem in Uyo a couple of weeks back. Too bad!

Body removed from building where plane crashed

In another sad news, a suicide bomber drove a car full of explosives into a church in northern Nigeria yesterday, killing 12 people in the latest deadly attack on Christian worshippers, witnesses said. The blast occurred at the Living Faith church near the capital of Nigeria's northern state of Bauchi, they said. State police commissioner Mohammed Ladan said a police checkpoint has prevented the bomber from gaining access to his target. "So he rammed the car into a security gate and the car exploded," said Ladan. While a police source told PTI that security forces are still verifying the extent of damage. The source said the death toll from the blast could rise.
Amongst the passengers are Former broadcaster and NNPC General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mr Levi Ajuonuma and Ehime Aikhomu, son of former Vice President, Late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, was also on board.....I hope Dana Air release the manifest in good time... Innocent people perishing. Just sad!

BOBM BLAST

Security forces at a road block nearby said the bomber forced his car through the checkpoint and drove into the church in Yelwa, on the outskirts of the city of Bauchi.
A Reuters reporter at the scene counted 12 bodies being pulled from the building.
“I had just left after the morning service and was out of the church when I heard a loud explosion. I rushed back and there were dozens of people lying in pools of blood,” said Aliku Jon, a mechanic, adding that at least six people died instantly. “Many were injured including two police officers.”
It was not clear who was responsible for the attack, although churches have been targeted this year by militant Islamist group Boko Haram – which has increasingly used suicide bombers.
“I was just in the area when I heard a huge blast. The sound was so loud, my ears are still ringing,” said Samuel Etudu, who was outside the church when the explosion happened.

Rest in peace....all the departed souls and i just hope Goodluck Jonathan doesn't come up with nis usual speech....talk does not solve anything. Our dreams must come true regardless of the struggles.... even in a failed system, we will not give up.

BBA STAR GAME....MAMPI AND GOLDIE

MAMPI from ZAMBIA was the first celebrity to leave the House...her comments on Goldie Harvey, Nigerian's representative at the upville house goes to further say that our dear Goldie is trying too hard to be NICE (its not a healthy choice to make, everybody cannot like you)...i agree with her on this. I really miss her dance steps (MAMPI).
Goldie has continued her PREZZO activity and it leaves you wondering if as a celebrity, she has no class...it is a game and she had better start playing.
I hope Goldie gets herself back into the game, otherwise, she is on her own! It only goes to show that many of these celebrities are not always the image they paint...and they may not truely have the swag they boast of in thier lyrics...

MAMPI in her own Words:
Who did you most dislike and why?
Goldie. I believe she was very plastic and she was pretending too, too, too much. I think she's trying too hard to be sweet. I don't think she's really a sweet person. When you look in her eyes you can see a lot of anger there. I think she's the biggest pretender in the house.

BETWEEN BARACK OBAMA AND GOODLUCK JONATHAN

While President Obama is Honouring Medal of Freedom recipients, GEJ is giving Nigerians something else to talk about, renaming UNILAG..... Can't we just experience that one Little moment of Inspiration???? it is plain annoying.

Incase you didn't know,The Medal of Freedom is the nation's highest civilian honor. It's presented to individuals who have made meritorious contributions to the national interests of the United States, to world peace or to other significant endeavors.
President Obama is honoring a diverse group of political and cultural icons, including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, astronaut John Glenn and rock legend Bob Dylan, with the Medal of Freedom at the White House.
Obama said the honorees have moved Americans with their words and inspired them with their actions.
Other honorees include Tennessee basketball coach Pat Summitt, former Supreme Court justice John Paul Stevens and author Toni Morrison.

This is NIGERIA....things are different.

KIM K TO GET FIRST TATOO WITH KANYE

Kimye going strong! do you believe this?

News, i am hearing right now saysHollywooLlife.com  has spoken to a source who says that Kim and Kanye want to get permanent ink in order to express how in love they are... What people do for love.
“Kim and Kanye have been talking about getting tattoos,” the source tells HollywoodLife.com. “Kanye wants Kim to get a ‘K’ to symbolize both of their names. But she might even get "KW"

This could be another media/attention stunt.....but we will see how it goes!  They really know how to grab media attention and they are loving it. I hope they have the energy to keep up with all these media stunt....they should enjoy it while it last.
